"Regarding my painting, I have many worlds I want to depict. My themes are built upon memories and experiences from my childhood in Lima. Death has always held a special place in my life, and I feel it's a recurring theme in my thoughts. The way I compose figures in certain positions also reflects my search for answers about the voids that loss creates."
"Through oil painting, I try to capture the essence of flesh, which in my own mind symbolizes sin and wrongdoing. When I speak of sin, I'm referring to human errors made manifest. The skin holds many stories, scars that resurface periodically, reminding you of the paths you've traveled, how provocative sin is, mutating into different forms and textures."
